Why I Care

A few years after starting my writing, editing and project management business, I began working with my grandfather to capture his life stories.

I listened to him for hours, helping him translate his Russian style of English into something everyone could understand.

After he unexpectedly passed away at just 77 years old, I realized how much I treasured journeying to the past with him, learning from his mistakes, and philosophizing about the nature of being human together.

My family and I created a book out of his writings and drawings that we cherish and look at often.

This experience showed me the transformative and healing power of capturing someone’s story—whether it’s communicating to loved ones, leaving a legacy, or growing your business.

Stories matter.
